Ausgehend von meinen eigenen Erfahrungen mit Long Covid erforscht diese Performance die fragile Verbindung zwischen dem menschlichen Atem, neurologischer Sensibilit\u00e4t und den akustischen Lebenswelten der Wale. Sie \u00fcbersetzt unsichtbare Erfahrungen von Krankheit und \u00f6kologischer Belastung in gemeinsame sinnliche und emotionale Begegnungen \u2013 durch Storytelling, Musik und Stille.<\/p>

Die Performance bewegt sich durch ineinanderflie\u00dfende Welten: das vibrierende, vom Kommen und Gehen des Wassers geformte Leben eines Gezeitenbeckens \u2013 wo Einsiedlerkrebse in gefundenen Muscheln ihre wandernden Heimaten bauen, pink gl\u00fchende Seesterne an rauen Felskanten festhalten und ein Grauwal still am Strand liegt. Gleichzeitig er\u00f6ffnet sie die innere Landschaft einer jungen Frau in Berlin, die mit Long Covid lebt.\n\nEine seit Tausenden von Jahren \u00fcberlieferte Geschichte \u2013 von einem Raben, der versucht, seinen Walfreund zur\u00fcck ins Meer zu f\u00fchren \u2013 wird zu einem mythischen Rahmen f\u00fcr ihren eigenen Kampf um Atem, Gleichgewicht und Orientierung. W\u00e4hrend die Klanglandschaft der Stadt unertr\u00e4glich wird, schrumpft ihre Welt zu abgedunkelten R\u00e4umen, die die Desorientierung, \u00dcberforderung und sensorische Zerbrechlichkeit widerspiegeln, die auch Meeress\u00e4uger erleben, wenn sie sich in einem zunehmend lauter werdenden Ozean zurechtfinden m\u00fcssen.<\/p>

Die Arbeit entstand im Rahmen eines Recherchestipendiums der Senatsverwaltung f\u00fcr Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt im Jahr 2024, mit Feldforschung auf La Gomera (Spanien) zusammen mit Oceano<\/a>einer verantwortungsvoll arbeitenden Organisation f\u00fcr Whale-Watching und Meeresbildung, die mit M.E.E.R. e.V.<\/a> an langfristigen Forschungen zu Meeress\u00e4ugern zusammenarbeitet. Zus\u00e4tzliche Interviews mit Wissenschaftler*innen, lokalen Gemeinschaften und Menschen, die in Berlin mit Long Covid leben, offenbarten parallele Herausforderungen im Umgang mit Klang, Desorientierung und der Suche nach Koh\u00e4renz.<\/p>

Autobiografisches Storytelling, live entstehende Stimmkompositionen und die traditionelle Erz\u00e4hlung vom Raben und dem Wal verweben sich zu der Frage, wie F\u00fcrsorge und Orientierung wiedergefunden werden k\u00f6nnen, wenn der Rhythmus verloren gegangen ist.<\/p>

An excerpt was presented at the Feuerspuren Storytelling Festival in Bremen. The full-length premiere will be announced soon. It will include accessible formats such as\u00a0 a low-stimulation \u201clying-down performance\u201d in a darkened, quiet space for those who need to attend in a reclined position.
